Public data
Channel names, handles, avatars, descriptions, server-derived blurbs, subscriber counts, paid totals, rank, bid timing, and click counts are public. Channel identity and descriptive copy come from YouTube's public API.
Visitor and click data
BidTube stores a random anonymous browser identifier, an hourly visit bucket, channel click events, and timestamps. The application does not store an IP address in its leaderboard database. Infrastructure providers may still process connection logs to deliver and protect the service.
Payments
Payment details are collected by the checkout provider, not by BidTube's public interface. BidTube receives transaction identifiers, status, amount, currency, and—when supplied for receipts or risk handling—payer email. Card numbers are not stored in the BidTube database.
How data is used
- Resolve channels, process bids, calculate rank, and activate takeovers.
- Prevent duplicate payments, fraud, abuse, and forged callbacks.
- Measure public visits and outbound clicks.
- Handle reversals, disputes, legal obligations, and service security.
Providers and retention
BidTube uses Supabase for database and realtime services, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Dodo Payments for primary checkout and merchant-of-record payment processing. Ko-fi/PayPal and Flitt may remain configured as disabled fallback providers. Transaction and audit records are retained as needed for accounting, refunds, disputes, security, and law; short-lived visit and operational data may be deleted sooner.
Your choices
You can block or clear browser storage and cookies, though online, last-hour, and lifetime visitor counts may become less accurate. Channel metadata may be refreshed from YouTube. Applicable privacy rights can be exercised through the contact method published by BidTube for your region.
